Dominique Trempont

Director

Dominique Trempont has served as a member of ERI’s board since its initial public offering in 2008. He is a seasoned executive and board member with large, multinational high tech companies as well as fast-growth start-ups. His experience spans a successful CEO track record in enterprise and consumer focused software as well as management expertise in globally-run material science leader, Raychem Corporation. Mr. Trempont’s prior board and audit committee experience with established public companies, his financial expertise and his operational experience at global and multi-cultural companies make him an ideal fit for ERI’s board of directors.

Mr. Trempont currently serves on the board of 3Com Corporation (NASDAQ: COMS), where he helped the company execute its H3C strategy for penetrating the China market before it was acquired by Hewlett Packard. He also serves on the board of Finisar (NASDAQ: FNSR), a leader in high-speed fiber optic communication systems, and Cquay Technologies Corp., a private company that develops next- generation search software.  In addition to his board experience, Mr. Trempont served as CEO-in-Residence at venture capital firm Battery Ventures for two years. Prior to that, he was chairman, president and CEO of Kanisa, Inc., a software company focused on customer self-service, contact center and peer support applications. He has served as CEO of Gemplus Corporation (now Gemalto), a smart card application company, and CFO at NeXT Software. 

Mr. Trempont received a degree in economics from College Saint Louis in Belgium, a degree in business administration and computer sciences from IAG at the University of Louvain in Belgium and master’s degree from INSEAD in France. He also sits on the advisory board for the INSEAD Business School where he also teaches the “Building Businesses in Silicon Valley” as an adjunct professor.
