
Fred Olav Johannessen

Fred Johannessen has served as a member of ERI’s board since August 1995. Mr. Johannessen’s early investment in ERI, his prior work as a securities analyst and his experience in international business as an investor, entrepreneur and executive, along with his in-depth knowledge of ERI’s operations, make him well-qualified to help lead the company as a member of its board of directors.
Mr. Johannessen’s professional experience as a long-term investor and co-owner of various enterprises in the financial and private market includes a pioneering role with in the Scandanavian communication channels. He opened and built new markets for Scandanavian radio from 1990-2001, later selling the company to SBS, a leading broadcasting company in Norway.
Since 2001, Mr. Johannessen has worked as the owner and president of the Nordiska Literary Agency in Denmark, a Danish company that acquired intellectual property licenses for theatre productions and musicals across Scandinavia.. He has also served as a member of the board of Thalia Teater AS, a private theater production company in Norway, Lande & Co, a private media consulting company in Norway, and Folin, a private European company that invests in literary agencies. Since February 2010, Mr. Johannessen has also served on the board of SynchroNet Logistics Inc., a maritime technology service provider.
Mr. Johannessen earned a master’s degree in finance from Colorado State University.
