Thomas S. Rooney, Jr.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Thomas S. Rooney, Jr. is an experienced leader who joined ERI in February 2011 as its new president and chief executive officer. He brings nearly 30 years of extensive experience in successfully leading companies through strategic transformations and helping them to capitalize on new market opportunities. Most recently, Mr. Rooney was the CEO of SPG Solar, one of the largest solar integrators in the United States. Under his leadership, SPG dramatically improved operational efficiencies, expanded to a national enterprise and doubled its profits.

Alex Buehler

Chief Financial Officer

Alex Buehler joined ERI in May 2011 as its new chief financial officer. Mr. Buehler is a highly analytical business executive with years of experience in general management and strategic planning as well as new product development, corporate development, operations and manufacturing process optimization.

Tim Dyer

Chief Technology Officer

Tim Dyer manages all engineering, research and development initiatives and oversees the expansion of Energy Recovery's product portfolio, including its industry-leading Pressure Exchanger (PX™) isobaric energy recovery devices, advanced liquid turbo solutions, cutting-edge ceramics applications and all other energy-transfer technologies. 

Borja Blanco

Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing, and Business Development

Borja Blanco has held many positions with leading water related companies world-wide. He joined ERI in the year 2005, to run its newly created Large Projects Division, involving projects ≥ 50,000 m3/day in production capacity.

Ismail Nawaz

Vice President, Oil & Gas Product Development

Ismail Nawaz is the Vice President for Oil and Gas product development at Energy Recovery Inc. Prior to ERI, Ismail headed Schlumberger’s Intelligent Completions department where he was responsible for a portfolio of products and services, as well as leading engineering and manufacturing teams.

Deno Bokas

Chief Accounting Officer

Deno Bokas is responsible for overseeing the Company’s SEC reporting requirements, tax strategy and Sarbanes Oxley compliance in addition to his other matters as Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer.

Audrey Bold

Vice President, Marketing

Audrey Bold heads the world-wide, corporate marketing department to manage the company's rapidly expanding global marketing objectives. Ms. Bold joined ERI in 2005 and since has  been involved in the marketing direction of the company and PX technology brand.

Terry Sandlin

Vice President, Manufacturing

Terry Sandlin is responsible for all manufacturing process at ERI including production and material management, manufacturing engineering, and quality control. Mr. Sandlin has over 25 years of experience in product manufacturing.

Imad Al Sharif

Vice President, Sales- OEM Group

Imad Al Sharif is responsible for the global sales direction and revenue of the OEM group focusing on projects up to 50,000 cubic meters per day in capacity. Mr. Al Sharif is a tenured water treatment specialist who has driven the company's success of small to medium projects for the past 5 years.

Pierre Vedel

Vice President, Information Technology

Pierre Vedel is responsible for aligning information technology with our business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies. Mr. Vedel also manages development and implementation of all aspects of IT initiatives within the organization.

Rodney Clemente

Vice President, Technical Service

Rodney Clemente is responsible for all of ERI’s Technical Service, Support and Aftermarket activities. Mr. Clemente has been with ERI for over 12 years and has intimate knowledge of PX ® technology, production and manufacturing processes, global field services, as well as design and technical consultation for desalination plants worldwide.
