ERI has an exciting opportunity for a Ceramics Manufacturing Engineer at the San Leandro, CA. facility to help qualify, scale up, and optimize production processes at our brand new ceramics manufacturing plant. This is a great opportunity for helping ERI establish world class processes using both new and state of the art ceramic manufacturing and laboratory equipment. This key team member will help the ceramics division achieve plant manufacturing profitability, quality, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction. This is a very “hands on” position.
Key responsibilities:
Experience:
· BS in Ceramics, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for an exceptionally experienced candidate.
· 5-10 years experience in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.
· Solid experience with ceramic manufacturing processes such as spray drying, cold iso-static pressing, and the operation of gas fired periodic kilns.
· Experience with process capability analysis and optimization using statistical process control tools.
· Experience with production staff task supervision.
· Experience with Made2Manage or similar ERP system.
· Experience with SCADA systems used to monitor thermal processing equipment performance.
