Emily Smith is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Energy Recovery where she is responsible for leading organization-wide strategic growth objectives and partnerships, corporate communications, and market intelligence. She joined the company in 2011 and has held several positions during her tenure, including Vice President of Marketing, Senior Director of Corporate Development, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and the Strategic Analyst to the CEO. Most recently, Ms. Smith has played a critical role in the formation of the company’s strategic plan and product development road map, including the ideation and market mapping around Energy Recovery’s MTeq solution. Prior to joining Energy Recovery, she held various roles at Aegion Corporation, most notably as Controller, and was a top-performing Analyst at Merrill Lynch’s Industrials Investment Banking group. She holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a BS in Communication from Northwestern University.
