Emily Smith is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Energy Recovery, where she is responsible for the development and implementation of short and long-term organization-wide strategic growth objectives as well as all communications and marketing functions. Ms. Smith played a critical role in the formation of the company’s three-year strategic plan and product development road map. Ms. Smith has held several positions at the company spanning multiple disciplines, including Vice President of Marketing, Senior Director of Corporate Development, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and the Strategic Analyst to the CEO. Previous to joining Energy Recovery, she held various roles at Aegion Corporation, most notably as Controller, and was a top-performing Analyst at Merrill Lynch’s Industrials Investment Banking group. Ms. Smith earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and a BS in Communications from Northwestern University.
