Brandon Young is the Corporate Controller at Energy Recovery, where he is responsible for the company’s financial and accounting functions in the U.S. and globally. In addition, he is a key contributor to the company’s strategic financial planning and oversees compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and laws applicable to Energy Recovery’s position as a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq Stock Market. A proven leader, Mr. Young’s career has included leadership positions with both small start-ups and large international public companies. Previous to his current position, which he assumed in 2019, Mr. Young had served as the Assistant Controller at Energy Recovery since 2012. Before coming on board at Energy Recovery, Mr. Young served as the Compensation and Benefits Accounting Manager of pharmaceutical distributor McKesson Corporation, which ranks in the top 10 of the Fortune 500, and as an audit manager for Ernst & Young. Mr. Young earned a BA in economics from University of California, Los Angeles and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the State of California.
